Japanese Satsuma Rebellion Sword 100% original *

Genuine Satsuma Rebellion sword from the ancient Sukehisa School in the Province of Bizen , it has rebellion mounts from 1877 but the blade is much older than the mounts. The most noticable feature is the hilt binding which is rough braid or canvas wound to give almost triangular openings of exposed same instead of the traditional diamond shape, all the features of a rebellion Sword. These rare swords are known as simply "Rebellion Swords" and date back to when the Samurai warriors revolted against the Japanese Government. Blade length 66cm, tang length 16cm, with clear signature which relates to the Sukehisa School 1865-1868. TO FIND A GENUINE UNTOUCHED SAMURAI SWORD IS RARE.........TO FIND ONE WITH A SIGNED BLADE IS EXTREMELY RARE
